The Streaming Giant Chooses Ideal Actor for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Third Season
The Secret Organization is poised to exert significant influence in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, even if the major clash won’t take place until season 3, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has just been cast.
The streaming service revealed this week that the talented performer will appear in the One Piece season 3 cast and will embody Bentham. This character can use their power to morph into an identical duplicate of anyone they’ve made contact with with their dominant hand. The performer, who is identifies as non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a version of that figure reinterpreted as gender non-binary, instead of as a drag queen, in the real-life adaptation, differing from the original manga and anime.
Escola is joined by several other new cast members tasked with bringing the organization to the screen, including chief Sir Crocodile, played by Joe Manganiello, a talented actress as Miss Goldenweek, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the ensemble as King Nefertari Cobra of Alabasta.
Even though Bon Clay is a major member of the organization, the character won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. With season 2 likely to portray the Little Garden storyline, this signals a significant shift in the placement of the character’s debut, one that could suggest additional alterations to the narrative framework.
Their mix of excellent comedic sense and deep sensitivity makes them a standout choice for the role. In addition to their latest vocal work in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and several accolades for creating and performing in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, showcasing the adaptability they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s widely praised roles.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece show is due to premiere for its second season on the tenth of March, 2026.
