Pep Guardiola has admitted feeling "shame" following a confrontation with a TV crew member subsequent to the Citizens' loss away to the Magpies on Saturday.

At full time, a visibly upset Guardiola entered the St James’ Park pitch and had heated discussions with match official Sam Barrott and Magpies midfielder Bruno Guimarães, while also handling the broadcast crew's equipment.

"I apologised," the manager remarked. "I'm humiliated, regretful, looking back. I don’t like it. I immediately apologized to the operator. That's just me. With a thousand matches under my belt I’m not a perfect person, I make huge mistakes."

Controversial Decisions

City were unhappy that Barrott or the VAR did not award City a penalty for a Fabian Schär challenge against Foden, while they also questioned if Guimarães was offside on Barnes' goal the decisive strike. Subsequent images show he was level.
