The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Dies in a California Traffic Collision
Vince Zampella, the mind behind the globally famous first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in the state of California he was 55 years old.
Zampella's death was verified by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, a game studio that he helped create.
The celebrated game designer passed away following his car crashed and caught fire on a freeway in Los Angeles on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"We are facing a devastating loss, and our deepest sympathies go to his family and friends, his family, and all those touched by his legacy," an official with Electronic Arts commented.
